The Pharmacy Technician performs Level I technician duties and maintains professional relationships with healthcare providers to facilitate patient care. They are responsible for managing medication treatment plans while maintaining strict patient anonymity and privacy.
Candidates should possess a State Pharmacy Technician License and are preferred to have PTCB, IMZ, and CPR certifications. The role requires sensitivity to the stigma associated with HIV and a commitment to patient-centered care.
A Pharmacy Technician contributes to AHF by demonstrating the competencies of a Level I Technician as described in the Scope of Practice and Responsibilities found in the AHF Pharmacy Policy, Procedure and Training manual, in addition to the specifics of the job classification below.
A Pharmacy Technician enhances the reputation of AHF by Being sensitive to the “stigma” of HIV and associated comorbidities, understanding the difficulty of treating chronic diseases, barriers to care, and the importance of patients’ needs to maintain anonymity and privacy.

AHF has a collaborative organizational structure where staff are accountable to multiple leaders.
The Pharmacy Technician will work as a part of a close-knit team to establish and maintain good working relationships with healthcare providers, staff and referral sources to facilitate the exchange of patient demographics and medication treatment plans.
State Pharmacy Technician License, PTCB, IMZ, CPR preferrable.
Monday through Saturday, 10 AM - 7PM. Shift will be 5 days a week/8 hour days (staggered).
