Medical LTechnologist II

Overview

• Performs routine and specialized laboratory tests and other procedures for use in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
• Utilizes requisite equipment, instruments, and computer systems.
• Evaluates and reports patient results using considerable independent judgment within the scope of established testing methods.
• Performs quality control procedures and contributes to the maintenance of the laboratory, equipment, and supplies.
• Assists in the development and implementation of new procedures, instrumentation.
• May assume responsibility for one or more laboratory projects or functions such as performance improvement, safety, quality control, regulatory, administrative, staff development, and computer systems.
• Trains new employees and/or students in the theoretical and operational aspects of procedures and serves as a resource for less experienced staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Associate's Degree Medical Laboratory Technology Required - Or Associate's Degree Medical Technology Required Bachelor's Degree Clinical Laboratory Science Preferred Experience

2 Years Clinical - Clinical Laboratory - Moderate and High Complexity Testing Preferred
