Inpatient hospital travel assignment in Burlington, VT
Weekends as needed; no on-call required; schedule flexibility is a must
Responsibilities
Provide respiratory care for adult inpatients, including adult ICU and general pediatric patients; NICU and PICU not required
Assess, implement, monitor and adjust ventilation settings and support as prescribed; administer airway clearance therapies
Perform arterial blood gas sampling, oxygen therapy, aerosolized medication administration and related procedures
Monitor patient response, document interventions and outcomes in the electronic health record (Epic) and communicate changes to the care team
Collaborate with physicians, nurses and therapists to optimize respiratory care plans; ensure patient safety and adherence to AHA guidelines
Requirements
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential; CRT not accepted
Active licensure on file (RRT) as applicable for the state
Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, NBRC Verification, NRP
Minimum 1 year of experience; prior travel experience preferred
Teaching hospital experience required
Epic experience within the past 2 years is required
Ability to work in an inpatient setting with flexible weekend coverage as needed
