Travel Registered Nurse Rehab Job

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for adult and pediatric rehab patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans
• Monitor patient status, administer medications, manage telemetry, and respond to clinical changes promptly
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (PT, OT, speech, social work, physicians) to implement rehab goals and ensure safe mobility and ADLs
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge planning, and coping strategies to support independence
• Document patient progress accurately in the electronic health record and ensure compliance with unit policies
• Maintain patient safety and infection control standards; participate in rounds and care coordination discussions

Requirements

• Active New York State RN license
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Telemetry experience required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and adapt to unit policies for rehab and PM&R populations

• Education
• Current NYS RN license; completion of an approved registered nursing education program
• Willingness to meet ongoing credentialing and on-boarding requirements for travel assignments
