As a Nuclear Medical Technologist, you will perform a variety of diagnostic exams and quality assurance procedures while ensuring that nuclear imaging equipment is in optimal working condition. You will also maintain accountability for timely and proper service to patients and educate them regarding their procedures.
A bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine or completion of a certification program is required, along with ARRT and/or NMTCB Certification within 3 months of hire. A NYS License in Radiologic Technology in the area of Nuclear Medicine is also required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
Equipment Operation. Perform a variety of diagnostic exams and quality assurance procedures; ensures that nuclear imaging equipment is in optimal working condition. Patient Care. Maintain accountability for timely and proper service to patients throughout the area; educate patients regarding their procedure and maintain a safe, comfortable and supportive environment for the patient throughout the exam Documentation. Maintains clear documentation within radiopharmacy information systems REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in Nuclear Medicine or completion of certification program required. ARRT and/or NMTCB Certification within 3 months of hire NYS License in Radiologic Technology in the area of Nuclear Medicine required OR must hold NYS permit and obtain licensure with 6 months of hire. Continuing education classes New Graduates Official transcript from accredited school or letter emailed directly from the school’s registrar’s office confirming program completion will be accepted upon graduation. Primary source education verification required within 90 days of graduation.
2 years of experience preferred Strong computer and interpersonal/communication skills EDUCATION: LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. PAY RANGE: $39.00 - $52.00 CITY: Rochester POSTAL CODE: 14626 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
