DUTIES /
RESPONSIBILITIES: · Implement policies and procedures of the Crisis Stabilization Unit · Supervise Psychiatric Technicians on shift · Assist Psychiatric Technicians when needed in providing for the daily living activities of the patients · Implement procedures for providing the medical needs ordered for each patient while in CSU · Screen calls and questions pertaining to medication · Arrange educational sessions for patients pertaining to medication · Document all patients having had a handout sheet and educational session pertaining to their medications. Also, patient’s family when indicated · Monitor the lab work within the guidelines pertaining to the specific medication · Help maintain and support patients receiving medications by individual evaluation and/or group · Phone or dispense prescriptions (signed by the doctor) in consultation with the psychiatrist · Complete Admission Assessments and create Treatment Plans · Participate in staffing · Other duties as assigned QualificationsEDUCATIONAL/ EXPERIENCE Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Tennessee and experience working in the mental health field. Registered Nurse with Psychiatric Certification preferred.
