The CNA II will perform assigned nursing duties to ensure the comfort and well-being of patients, including taking vital signs and assisting with daily activities. They will also respond to patient crises and communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff.
Candidates must be high school graduates or equivalent and have previous patient care experience or be nursing students who have completed clinical hours. A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in Maryland is preferred, along with BLS certification.
Education and experience requirements: High school graduate or equivalent AND one or more of the below qualifications: Previous patient care experience including taking vital signs Nursing student who has successfully completed clinical hours or completion of a Certified Nursing Licensed CNA in the state of Maryland or other US state preferred. Licensed CNA's are required to perform provision of nursing assistant care within scope of practice including IV insertions Special requirements: BLS Certification required. Licensed CNA in the state of Maryland/Obtain Maryland License prior to start date to practice IV insertions. Working conditions: Risk Exposure Category A – Potential for exposure to blood borne/pathogens, HIV, Hepatitis B or Hepatitis C in the performance of this job. Hourly Pay Range: $19.10 - $27.69 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
