Patient Care Support Assist with daily patient care including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, ambulation, and positioning Support mobility using assistive devices and appropriate transfer techniques Measure and document vital signs, intake/output, daily weights, and other data in the EMR Perform purposeful rounding and communicate patient needs and concerns promptly to the RN Patient Flow & Unit Support Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes Prepare rooms, orient patients, and manage patient belongings Ensure call lights are accessible and respond promptly Clinical Tasks Collect urine, stool, and sputum specimens with proper labeling and identification Perform point-of-care testing as required

RN direction, may assist with: IV removal Bladder scans Post-mortem care Daily Operations & Support Complete errands including transport of trays, charts, specimens, and reports Maintain and stock supplies for the unit Clean equipment and work areas Assist with nutritional needs including tray setup/removal and patient positioning Support skin integrity through repositioning and appropriate care Ensure proper use and availability of patient care supplies (e.g., TED hose, compression devices) Infection Control & Safety Follow infection prevention policies and procedures, including hand hygiene and PPE use Demonstrate knowledge of sterile and aseptic techniques Dispose of contaminated materials according to guidelines Teamwork & Patient Experience Build positive relationships with patients, families, and care team members Communicate effectively to support coordinated patient care Contribute to a collaborative, respectful, and patient-focused environment Education & Certification Requirements Maintain required annual certifications and education (e.g., DNV, CARF, or system requirements) Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, twist, and reach throughout the shift
