Med/Surge Garden is a 24-bed medical/surgical unit with mixed acuity, specializing in the care of stroke and oncology patients and Med Surg I is a 24-bed acute care unit specializes in medical-surgical, orthopedic, surgical, and trauma care, serving primarily surgical and orthopedic patients. Nurse-to-patient ratios for both Med Surg units are typically 5:1, and nursing assistant ratios are 6-7:1.
