Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

This contract position requires on-site presence and offers an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact on the mental health and well-being of young patients in our community.

In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, and deliver therapy in a supportive environment. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of care in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Responsibilities

Conduct psychiatric evaluations for children and adolescents Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Facilitate therapy sessions, including individual and family therapy Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for holistic care Participate in on-site meetings and case discussions Stay updated with the latest research and practices in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Provide guidance and support to families regarding treatment options

Requirements

MD or DO degree with a valid medical license Associate-level experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Strong diagnostic and therapeutic skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Familiarity with current mental health practices and regulations Commitment to ongoing professional development in psychiatry

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9a-5p

No call requirement

Setting: Inpatient

Daily Volume: 12 – 16 patients

Patient Population: Between the ages of 5-18 years old

EMR: Epic

Board certification required

Paid travel & expenses
