Responsible for collecting high-quality biological specimens from inpatients and outpatients for laboratory testing. Assists laboratory technologists with sample processing and responds promptly to STAT and urgent requests.
High school diploma or GED is preferred, and CPR/first aid certification is recommended. Phlebotomy certification must be obtained within the first six months of employment.
Description Status Hours: 36 hr/wk 5am-5pm Day Shift
No license required - on the job training Obtainment of Phlebotomy Certification required within the first 6 months of employment. CPR and basic first aid recommended High school graduate or equivalent GED preferred.
With consideration to our patients’ and staff needs, you may need to work on days, evenings, nights, weekends and/or holidays and may need to float to other units.
