Chaplain - Part Time

• The chaplain provides spiritual counsel, comfort and pastoral ministry to the spiritual needs of patients and families as assigned.
• This individual provides a pastoral perspective when consulting with staff, patients and families regarding ethical, moral or personal issues.
• The chaplain is skilled in crisis and bereavement counseling and is an active participant in interdisciplinary patient care team.
• This individual promotes a healing environment enhancing spiritual and mental health for both patients and staff.
• The chaplain's duties include providing sacraments / rituals from many faith traditions of patients, relatives and staff as requested.
• May require being an Independent Living Donor Advocate (ILDA) after the conclusion of training.
• This person may serve in advance care planning role after training.
• This individual must demonstrate a cultural knowledge and knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the lifespan.
• The ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's age-specific needs is required.
• In addition, the chaplain supports leadership through activities that includes development of staff, teaching, community involvement, and participation in research as appropriate.
• Must be available to work flexible hours which can include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends with on-call required.
