Pharmacy Technician I

Overview

• The Pharmacy Technician I performs functions necessary to assist pharmacists in providing safe, efficient, friendly and cost-effective pharmacotherapy services.
• Utilizes requisite equipment, non-sterile compounding supplies and computer systems as appropriate for the procurement, preparation for verification and/or delivery of medication.
• Performs quality control procedures and contributes to the maintenance of the pharmacy, equipment and supplies.
• Assists in training new employees and/or students in the theoretical and operational aspects of procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Licensure: Registered with NC Board of Pharmacy Required Certified Pharmacy Technician Required Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required College Courses Pharmacy Preferred Experience
