Direct Care Worker

University Home Care Inc is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Care Workers in White Lake, MI. In this role, you will provide essential support and care to clients, helping them maintain their independence and improve their quality of life in the comfort of their own homes.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
• Administer medication reminders and monitor clients’ health status
• Help with light housekeeping and errands as needed
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to supervisor

Requirements

• Previous experience in caregiving or related field preferred but not required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable
• Ability to pass background check
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is a plus
