• This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, patient care and education.
• Full time: 40 hrs per week Location: Milwaukee Hospital Hours: DAYS (6:30 am - 5:00 pm) Schedule: Monday-Thursday No weekends No holidays Education: High School graduate or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) required Completion of sleep education program such as ASTEP required Experience: 1+ years of experience in a polysomnographic technician role required Licenses and Certifications: RPSGT-Registered Polysomnographic Technician - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists required BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/National Safety Council required Essential Functions: Understands and satisfies the needs of the neonatal, infant, toddler, pre-school, school-age, adolescent and/or adult patient and families regarding their growth and development process.
• Evaluates and identifies needs prior to and during testing and initiates appropriate action.
• Safely initiates, performs and maintains competency in the following areas: Diagnostics such as Polysomnograms, Cardio-pulmonary tracings, and blood draws.
• Titration and monitoring of positive airway pressure (PAP) therapy.
• Perform appropriate physiologic calibrations to ensure proper signals and adjust if necessary.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Basic computer skills. Analytical skills necessary to resolve complex clinical problems relating to the integration of anatomy and physiology to sleep/wake pathology and patient safety and welfare. Possess adequate time management skills. Interpersonal and communication skills sufficient to interact with interdisciplinary health team members and consumers.
