The fellow provides direct psychological services, including diagnostic interviews and psychotherapy, to individuals with diverse behavioral health needs. Responsibilities include crisis intervention and collaborating within an interdisciplinary treatment team.
Candidates must possess or be anticipating a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from a regionally accredited institution. Completion of an APPIC-standard predoctoral internship is required, with APA accreditation preferred.
Experience: A prospective Postdoctoral Fellow must be a United States citizen who, by the beginning of the fellowship year, has completed all professional doctoral degree requirements from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in clinical or counseling psychology. This includes anticipated completion of a predoctoral internship meeting the standards established by the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC), although predoctoral internships accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) are preferred. Thus, prior to beginning the Fellowship program, the prospective Fellow must have the diploma in hand or a letter from the Director of Graduate Studies verifying the completion of all degree requirements, pending the institution graduation ceremony.
