• Overview UnityPoint Clinic Clinic Nurse - RN Palliative Care Waukee, IA Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM Full-time + benefits We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team.
• This clinical professional will provide support in patient care, assisting with exams, treatments, and patient education.
• We are looking for an experienced RN who is comfortable in Palliative care conversations.
• That may include things like pain management medication and controlled substance agreements, and end of life processes discussions.
• We are also looking for someone with some critical triage skills and ability to communicate critical information as needed.

Responsibilities

Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures Room patients, record patient histories, vital signs, and document in the electronic health record (EHR) Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments per scope of licensure Educate patients on health, medications, and follow-up care Coordinate referrals and patient care follow-ups Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment

Qualifications

Valid and current RN licensure in the state of Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) – Iowa Board of Nursing Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred Familiarity with EPIC a plus! Palliative or Hospice experience would be ideal Charge nurse experience could also be a plus! For positions within UnityPoint Clinic, team members may be required to work at or to float to other locations to support optimized staffing #UPC123
