The technician is responsible for evaluating incoming emergency patients, prioritizing care, and assisting veterinarians with treatments and procedures. They also manage anesthesia, perform laboratory tests, and provide essential nursing care and client education.
A state Registered Veterinary Technician license and prior veterinary experience are required. Candidates must be proficient in medical calculations and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced emergency environment.
