The LVN identifies patient needs and provides basic patient care while maintaining quality standards. They partner with Registered Nurses to perform clinical skills and procedures outside their own scope of practice.
Requires a high school diploma, completion of an accredited Vocational Nursing program, and a current California LVN license. Candidates must have at least one year of LVN experience and obtain IV Therapy certification within 180 days.
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) identifies patient needs, maintains quality standards, and provides basic patient care. The LVN also partners with the Registered Nurse (RN) to perform skills, procedures, and other tasks that are outside their clinical scope of practice.
