The role involves collecting and processing blood and urine samples while operating laboratory analyzers and interpreting results. Additionally, the technologist will perform vision testing, ECGs, vitals, and specialized pulmonary and hearing tests.
Candidates must be licensed as a Medical Technologist in the State of Tennessee with an Associate degree or higher. 2-5 years of relevant experience and proof of U.S. citizenship are required.

Must be proficient in collecting blood samples (Venipuncture). Handling blood and urine samples and sample processing. Will run calibrations, quality control samples, proficiency testing samples, and patient samples on laboratory analyzers. Will review and interpret lab results and enter them into electronic medical record system. Will perform scheduled analyzer maintenance. Additional duties: Will be trained to perform vision testing, ECG, and taking vitals (blood pressure, pulse, O2 sat, temperature). Will be scheduled to take a NIOSH-approved Spirometry training course to become proficient in performing spirometry (pulmonary function) testing. Will be scheduled to take a CAOHC-approved Audiometry course to become certified in performing audiograms (hearing tests).
