Candidates must possess an active Maryland Respiratory Therapist (RT) license. The role requires the ability to work 12-hour shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a) in a skilled nursing environment.

Key Responsibilities Assess, treat, and monitor residents with respiratory conditions Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and breathing treatments as ordered Monitor ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and other respiratory equipment as applicable Evaluate resident responses to treatment and adjust care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team Educate residents and families on respiratory care, equipment use, and treatment plans Accurately document assessments, treatments, and resident progress in the medical record Maintain and ensure proper functioning of respiratory equipment and supplies Follow infection control, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines at all times Collaborate closely with nursing, physicians, and rehabilitation staff to support resident care goals
