The Medical Assistant is responsible for preparing patients for examinations, scribing medical notes, and assisting providers with biopsies and cosmetic procedures. Additionally, they manage lab specimens, maintain exam room cleanliness, and handle instrument sterilization.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, medical assistant training, and 2-3 years of experience in a medical office. Prior experience in dermatology and cosmetics is preferred, along with proficiency in electronic medical records.
Must have 2-3 years of experience working in a medical office as a medical assistant. Prior Dermatology and cosmetic experience is preferred. Quality written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail. Strong phone etiquette. Teamwork. Professional in appearance and mannerisms. Able to demonstrate compassion and caring when dealing with others, patients, and co-workers. Able to prioritize tasks, understand the provider’s instructions, and know when to seek information or advice. Strong organizational skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Experience working on electronic medical records.
