Verifies exams as ordered by physician. 2. Developing the knowledge to perform correct scan protocols in an effort to decrease radiation exposure to patients. 3. Developing knowledge of and adherence to all radiation safety recommendations, including patient shielding. ALARA 4. Developing knowledge to properly administer IV and oral contrast. 5. Developing ability to explain exams/procedures to patients and families. 6. Ensures that work area is properly maintained. 7. Developing knowledge of current or new and evolving technologies in CT. 8. Maintains equipment and requests service as needed. 9. Complies with all TJC, state, federal, and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols. 10. Performs other duties as assigned.
