Design and implement in vitro biochemical and cell-based experiments to support the preclinical characterization of targets for diabetes and obesity. Perform molecular assessments, gene expression manipulations, and communicate results within cross-functional project teams.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in biology or a related field with at least one year of in vitro experience. Preference is given to candidates with a Master's degree and hands-on experience in gene editing, flow cytometry, and complex cell culture systems.
Bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field 1 year in vitro experience in industry, academia or related field Additional Skills/Preferences A background in biology, cell/molecular biology and metabolic disease is a plus Masters degree in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry or related field Hands-on experience with gene editing or gene expression analysis methods, including gDNA/RNA isolation, qPCR, ddPCR, and protein expression analysis such as western blot, JESS, ELISA, or MSD, along with flow cytometry is preferred. Hands-on experience in cellular and molecular biology techniques and in vitro assay execution gained through academic research, internships, or industry experience Experience with complex cell culture systems, primary culture, or co-culture Proficiency in cell biology techniques including cell culture, transfection, FACS, and cell-based assays Experience with various assay detection technologies (fluorescence, luminescence, alpha-screen) Willingness to learn and help implement new technologies and laboratory methods. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on cross-functional teams and research projects. Strong communication skills and experience presenting data in a team environment Ability to work independently as well as part of a results-oriented research team; highly organized with significant attention to detail.
