The role involves performing radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures while ensuring the highest diagnostic quality with minimal radiation exposure. Responsibilities include positioning patients, administering contrast media, and assisting radiologists with sterile procedures.
Candidates must have an Associate's degree and ARRT certification in Radiography, with BLS certification required. One year of clinical experience and familiarity with RIS/HIS are preferred.
This position accurately applies ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis, including skills required in performing a variety of technical procedures, resulting in the highest quality diagnostic radiograph, with the least amount of radiation exposure to the patient.
Certifications and Licensures
ARRT - Reg Radiologic Technologist Required Equivalent Experience - Effective 11/2020 - ARRT credentialed in Radiography (ARRT)(R) within one year of hire or transfer date. BLS - Basic Life Support Required Equivalent Experience - Within 1 month of hire or transfer
