We are looking for passionate therapists who want to grow with us. We have a great team environment to provide support to our clients and our staff. In addition, we provide great clinical support to our team and up to 20 hours a year as paid training hours to meet CEU requirements.

Our clinicians are responsible for providing a variety of counseling and therapeutic services to persons served.

Responsibilities

Responsible for providing a variety of counseling and therapeutic services to persons served.

  • Assesses substance use/chemical dependency/mental health, physical and psychosocial status of persons served.
  • 1.
  • Completes initial assessment according to standard practice guidelines.
  • 2.
  • Demonstrates competent interview skills to obtain complete intake assessment in order to initiate treatment plan and an accurate diagnosis.
  • 3.
  • Makes use of available sources of information including referral sources and family members as demonstrated by the accuracy of the admitting information.
  • 2.
  • Initiates and develops treatment plan as assessed to ensure the quality of the treatment process for the person served.
  • 1.
  • Develops treatment plan according to Standard Practices.
  • 2.
  • Consistently includes the person served in the development of the treatment plan.

  • Conducts substance use disorder lectures according to the lecture schedule and the objective of the lecture.

  • Provides for basic and specialized individual education as required in the treatment plan and documents the response of the person served in the medical record.

  • Maintain commitment to professional competency by maintaining professional growth and development.

    Required

    • Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences, Human Services or equivalent for substance use disorder and chemical dependence counseling 2.
    • Registered Development Plan with MCBAP, CADC, CAADC (for substance use disorder).
    • 3.
    • Maintain licensing and/or certification to meet contractual and State requirements.
    • 4.
    • Ability to apply and successfully acquire and maintain privileging and credentialing through Region 10.
    • 5.
    • One year work related experience.
    • 6.
    • Ability to thoroughly and competently document therapeutic intervention to meet NPI, contract and accreditation requirements.
    • 7.
    • Basic computer skills.

    1. Experience with Michigan Department of Corrections

    Physical and Mental Effort

    Light physical effort with freedom of movement. Likelihood of multiple, interpersonal interactions with distressed persons, families, and their referral sources. Duties conducted within a professional office setting and access areas within the building with stairs. Regular computer keyboard use and some light lifting (10-15 lbs.) may be required. Some travel may be associated with the position.
