Evaluate severity of illness for all elective, direct and urgent admissions to determine appropriate level of patient care. Review physician orders for clinical appropriateness / completeness and proper admission status. Coordinate education and development of internal staff and external departments to ensure understanding of intake review and approval process. Conduct complex clinical review for inpatient, outpatient, and ancillary services requests for medical necessity.

• Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing and required professional licensure at time of hire. Additional Preferences No additional preferences.
