The Endoscopy Technician is responsible for patient care, safety, and case preparation under the guidance of a registered nurse. They manage instruments and equipment while anticipating the physician's needs during procedures.
A high school diploma is required, and graduation from an accredited surgical technology school is preferred. Candidates must have Basic Life Support certification and preferably one year of experience in a procedural or operating room.
The Endoscopy Technician, under the guidance of the registered nurse, is responsible for the care and safety of patients under his/her care. The Endoscopy Technician is responsible for case preparation, assisting with patient preparation, proper handling of instruments supplies and equipment, preparation of the room based upon the specific procedure and physician's preference, and anticipating the physician's needs.
Education High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Other Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology Preferred
