The Medication Trained Staff is responsible for administering prescribed medications and treatments to clients in accordance with state regulations. They must document all administrations, report clinical changes to nursing staff, and support the therapeutic community.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED, be at least 21 years old, and possess a valid driver's license. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required, along with the ability to lift 50 pounds and complete the Medication Administration training program.

The MTS will be responsible for duties surrounding medication per Children and Youth 3800 Regulations including treatments, and Adult 6400 Regulations, observation and reporting, documentation, and completion of all aspects of the Medication Training Program (MAP) as trained through the (MAP).
