The WOC Specialist RN serves as a clinical resource and consultant for acute and rehabilitative patients with gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary disorders. Responsibilities include providing the full scope of WOC nursing practice, encompassing education, counseling, research, and administration.
Candidates must hold a current NYS RN license and a BSN, with an MS preferred and 2-4 years of relevant nursing experience. Certification in wound care by WOCNCB and current BLS are required, with WOCNCB certification mandatory within 12 months of hire.

A Registered Nurse who functions under the Administrator of Professional Practice, and in collaboration with the Nursing and Medical staff. The hospital-based WOC Specialist RN serves as a clinical resource and consultant for the acute and rehabilitative patients with selected disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary systems. The WOC Specialist RN provides the full scope of WOC nursing practice, including education, counseling, research, and administration.
