Overview Speech Language Pathologist, Acute Care in Pittsfield, MA — starting 06/22/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,523 to $2,683 per week with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shift is 08:00–16:30, 5x8 Days in a skilled nursing facility setting. This travel - temporary assignment is with Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech-language pathology evaluations for adult residents, including assessment of communication, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing function.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at maintaining or improving communication abilities, safe swallowing, and cognitive function; adjust plans based on progress and clinical data.
  • Provide direct therapy sessions and, when appropriate, educate and supervise caregivers or support staff to support continuity of care.
  • Document evaluations, goals, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge planning in the resident record per facility policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (nursing, dietitians, physicians, and other therapy staff) to coordinate care and support functional goals.
  • Participate in care planning meetings and quality improvement activities to support resident outcomes and regulatory compliance.
