About the role

The IHT Clinician provides structured, strength-based therapeutic services to youth and families to treat behavioral health needs and prevent inpatient admission. Responsibilities include developing treatment and safety plans, conducting assessments, and collaborating with collateral providers and support staff.

In- Home Therapy is a structured, consistent, strength-based therapeutic relationship between a Master level clinician, Therapeutic Training and Support, the youth, and family for the purpose of treating the youth’s behavioral health needs, including improving the family’s ability to provide effective support for the youth to promote his/her healthy functioning within the family.

Conduct quarterly reviews and modifications of the treatment plan as necessary.

Develop/review risk management/safety plan in collaboration with youth and caregiver(s); therapy may involve working with the entire family.

Identify community resources and develop natural support for youth and caregiver(s).

Telephone, virtual via zoom, and face-to- face coordination with collateral providers including state agencies and ESP/Mobile Crisis Intervention may occur.

Refer and link youth and families to appropriate services along the continuum of care.

Coach youth and families in support of decision-making in crisis and non-crisis situations.

Provide skills training for youth and caregiver(s).

Essential Functions

  • Use established psychotherapeutic techniques/interventions to help improve youth’s behavior, prevent inpatient admission, and strengthen caregiver(s) parenting skills
  • Conduct all necessary assessments in a timely manner and ensure that they are reviewed and approved as required prior to filing
  • Collaborate with partner, Bachelor’s level therapeutic and Training Support, to ensure that they are following the guidelines to support the implementation of the developed treatment plan to assist youth and family in achieving the goals of the plan
  • Collaborate closely with bachelor’s level In-Home Therapist to ensure delivery of high-quality services
  • Maintain paper and electronic records in an orderly and timely manner
  • Participate and come prepared to weekly supervision and staff meetings
  • Ensure Medical case consultations are requested as needed
  • If youth is enrolled in In- Care Coordination, participate in all care planning meetings and processes for the youth.
  • Follow through with on-call policies and procedures
  • Attend necessary trainings
  • Ensure that all services are provided in a professional manner, ensuring privacy and safety Measurable
  • Accurately record hours worked and leave time (if applicable) in Electronic Health Record and ADP in accordance with company and department policy
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, within your scope of practice or function area.

  • Willingness and ability to seek consultation and additional services when necessary to overcome barriers impacting the delivery of care

General

  • Must comply with all regulations
  • Ability to respect and communicate effectively with co-workers and managers
  • Adheres to agency and departmental regulations, policies and procedures
  • Mandatory reporter of actual and suspected abuse and knowledgeable of agency mandatory reporting practices regarding any suspected cases of abuse, mistreatment, or neglect

Requirements

and Qualifications:

  • Must be a master’s level (or above) with at least 1 year experience in providing Behavioral health services to youth and families.
  • Experience managing a home-based or Wraparound program model is preferred.
  • Must be certified in the Massachusetts Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI) Child Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS)
  • Must have a valid driver license without restrictions and have reliable transportation
  • Experience in navigating any of the child/family-serving systems and experience advocating for family members who are involved with behavioral health systems
  • Must have excellent writing and communication skills IDEAL MINDSET
  • Incumbent should be creative, flexible, and personable

  • An individual who loves achieving targets and aspiring towards providing person or family centered services.
  • IHT Clinician should be available Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-8p.m.
