Responsibilities

  • Provide procedural support in the cath lab for diagnostic and interventional procedures, including coronary angiography, PCI, and electrophysiology support, under physician direction.
  • Set up and operate cath lab imaging and monitoring equipment; maintain sterile technique and patient safety throughout procedures.
  • Monitor hemodynamics, record data, and assist with contrast administration and medications as credentialed.
  • Prepare procedural rooms, manage equipment turnover, stock supplies, and ensure proper documentation in the electronic health record.
  • Assist with patient care before, during, and after procedures; monitor recovery and help with patient transfer to appropriate units.
  • Maintain radiation safety practices and assist with dose optimization and shielding as required.
  • Float to assigned sites as needed and follow contract guidelines for call-off up to 3 shifts per contract.

Requirements

  • WA Rad Tech License
  • RCIS or RCES certification
  • ARRT certification
  • American Heart Association BLS Card
  • Ability to float between assigned sites and call off up to 3 shifts per contract
