About the role

Lead comprehensive adult mental health assessments and co-create individualized stabilization plans for clients in a residential crisis setting. Facilitate daily individual and group therapy sessions while collaborating with community partners to ensure a strong aftercare bridge.

Are you a skilled clinician who wants to do more than manage symptoms — you want to change trajectories?

At Heartland Family Service’s Crisis Stabilization and Resource Center, every shift is an opportunity to be the steady hand that helps someone find solid ground again. If you thrive in fast-moving, high-stakes environments and believe that compassionate, evidence-based care can transform lives, this role was built for you.

Why Heartland Family Service?

We are more than an employer — we are a community of people committed to creating healthy families across the region. Here’s what sets us apart:

✔ Trauma-Informed Culture: We don’t just talk about trauma-informed care — we live it, including for our own team. You’ll work in an environment that actively invests in clinician wellness.

✔ Mission-Driven Impact: Every day, you contribute to something larger than a caseload. You help people reclaim their lives.

✔ Collaborative, Team-Oriented Energy: Expect real partnership — with colleagues, supervisors, and the community organizations we serve alongside.

✔ Room to Grow: Through internal and external training and a culture of continuous learning, your clinical skill set will never stop expanding.

✔ Self-Care is Non-Negotiable: We ask you to model good self-care because we genuinely invest in yours.

About the Crisis Stabilization and Resource Center (CSRC)

  • The CSRC is a voluntary, residential-based stabilization program — a 3-to-5-day bridge between crisis and community. Clients arrive in their most vulnerable moments and leave with a plan, a sense of safety, and renewed hope. The program provides:
  • Daily access to therapy, medication management, and case management
  • A safe, secure environment designed to de-escalate and stabilize
  • Individualized outpatient resources and community referrals
  • Limited respite bed availability for individuals who need a moment to regroup

This isn’t a “wait and watch” setting. It’s an active, dynamic program where skilled clinicians drive real outcomes in a compressed timeframe.

Compensation

  • between $54,000 and $68,316 per year (salary is determined by total years of relevant experience)
  • Work
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week.
