About the role

Provide victim-centered, trauma-informed case management and crisis intervention for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Assist clients with safety planning, securing stable housing, and connecting them to essential community resources.

Are you passionate about supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence and making a meaningful difference in your community? We’re seeking a dedicated, compassionate Victim Advocate to join our team and provide critical, trauma-informed services to individuals and families in need.

Monday - Friday

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Provide victim-centered, trauma-informed case management to survivors and their families
  • Assist clients in locating and securing safe, stable housing
  • Offer emotional support, crisis intervention, and safety planning
  • Respond to domestic violence and PREA hotline calls, providing support and referrals
  • Support clients with life skills development
  • Connect clients to community resources and supportive services
  • Foster a workplace culture rooted in inclusion, respect, and belonging

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with survivors of domestic violence or similar populations
  • Valid, clean New York State driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred

We assist those who are living in poverty, adults living with mental illness or HIV/AIDS, victims of domestic violence, and children with developmental delays. Requirements
