As a leading provider of mental health services in Ocean County, Bright Harbor Healthcare is committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals experiencing serious mental illness. The role of a Mental Health Specialist within our Programs in Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) focuses on integrating clients into the community through personalized support and engagement in various community settings. Our multidisciplinary team comprises professionals across multiple disciplines, including psychiatrists, nurses, and vocational specialists who collaborate to promote recovery and mental wellness.

Position Title

Mental Health Specialist Position Type: Full Time; 40 Hours/Weekly Benefits Eligible: Yes Location: Toms River Department: PACT I Salary: Key Responsibilities: Under supervision: Provides supportive assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) through modeling, direct assistance, and coaching. Assists clients in obtaining basic needs. Assess client emotional well-being, clinical symptomology, behavioral changes and medication effectiveness. Provides psychosocial education for consumers related to mental illness, symptom management and medication compliance. Provides crisis intervention as necessary. Provides rotating 24 hour on call coverage as scheduled. Maintain relationships with state and local hospitals. Participate in daily treatment team meetings and weekly treatment team planning meetings. High School Diploma or equivalent Bachelor's Degree preferred One year of experience in the provision of social services for individuals with severe persistent mental illness Some lived experience

Requirements
