Full-Time | Outpatient Only | APP & Psychiatrist Support

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to join a well‑established outpatient behavioral health practice in the Tuscaloosa, Alabama area. This role offers a stable patient panel, strong clinical support, and a collaborative environment focused on delivering high‑quality, patient-centered care.

Position Highlights: Collaborative clinical model supported by experienced APPs and fellow Psychiatrists

Consistent schedule with manageable caseload

Administrative support to streamline documentation and patient flow

Opportunity to work in a practice known for patient access, continuity of care, and a strong referral base

Responsibilities

Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing treatment for patients in an outpatient setting

Collaborate with APPs, therapists, and other psychiatrists to support coordinated care

Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR

Participate in treatment planning and case discussions with the clinical team

Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care focusing on patient outcomes and experience

Qualifications: MD or DO from an accredited medical school

Completed residency in Psychiatry

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry

Active or eligible Alabama medical license

Strong communication skills and commitment to collaborative practice

Ideal Candidate: Comfortable working within a team-based care model

Values efficiency, quality metrics, and a balanced outpatient schedule

Enjoys supporting APPs and contributing to a positive clinical culture

Requirements

Must hold an MD or DO from an accredited medical school and have completed a residency in Psychiatry. Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible and possess an active or eligible Alabama medical license.
