Perform diagnostic radiologic services for both hospital inpatients and out-patients. Manage on-call weekend responsibilities and maintain proximity to the facility during these shifts.
A registered professional technologist assigned responsibilities of performing diagnostic radiologic services for hospital patients as well as out-patients sent from the clinics or physicians' offices. HOURS: Weekend package available – $1000 for working the entire shift, on-call starts Friday at 5:00pm to Monday at 7:00am. Must work at least one weekend per quarter. Must be willing to work on-call weekends. Must stay within 30 minutes of facility during call weekend, rooms available on site. Additional hours available as needed.
High school diploma or equivalent. Completion Radiologic Technology School with ARRT board certification or eligibility to sit for boards and an Iowa Permit to Practice. Good communication skills and flexibility in scheduling are a necessity along with the ability to multitask. Strong attention to detail required. CT and Mammography experience preferred but not required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to do continuous lifting (over 60 pounds) such as helping patient on x-ray table. Good vision and verbal skills are required. Must be able to perform well under pressure and to cope with a variety of situations.
