About the role

The Medical Assistant is responsible for rooming patients, recording vital signs, and assisting providers with examinations and treatments. Additionally, they perform laboratory sample collection and handle various administrative and clerical duties.

We are currently in search of a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (preferred) who likes to connect with people and has a compassionate outlook for our family medicine location in Springboro.

Family Health Center, like all Providence Medical Group practices, focuses on building lasting patient relationships based on trust and continuity of care.

What you will do

Room patients. Measure and record vital signs such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration. Complete patient interview and history.

Prepare patients for examinations, tests and treatments and explain procedures. Assist with procedures as ordered by provider.

May assist in examinations, carry out treatments and special tests.

Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms for patients.

Collect samples such as blood, urine and sputum from patients, and perform routine laboratory tests on samples.

Administrative/clerical duties as required

Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; dependable attendance.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in medical terminology, computer skills and HIPAA compliance
  • Knowledge of medical procedures, equipment, and instruments
  • Ability to draw blood
  • Ability to travel

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent. Certificate from a Medical Assisting Program.

Certification

• Certification or Registration from an accredited certifying board is required.
