Provides high-quality, patient-centered nursing care for individuals transitioning from critical care within a cardiovascular (CV) stepdown unit. The RN is responsible for monitoring complex patient conditions, administering medications, coordinating care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes. Demonstrates strong clinical judgment in detecting and responding to changes in cardiac and neurological status.
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (required) NIH Stroke Scale certification (required)
Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of stepdown or progressive care experience
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring Manage cardiac telemetry and recognize rhythm changes Administer medications and treatments per physician orders Educate patients and families on care plans and recovery Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to clinical protocols
