Our Urology practice in Denville, New Jersey is looking for a Per diem Registered Nurse. Responsible for providing primary care to patients, including assessment, treatment, care planning and medical care evaluation.
1. Obtains patient consent for care and ensures patient confidentiality.
2. Obtains and documents health history, information on chief complaint, vital signs, health risk factor and assess disease condition.
3. Provides patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care and federal/state laws and regulations.
4. Executes prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administers prescribed medications, and monitors and documents treatment progress and patient response.
5. Refers to/consults with physicians, other health providers and community resources to prevent/resolve problems or concerns.
6. Educates patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
7. Documents patient assessment and intervention data using established medical record forms/automated systems and documentation practices.
8. Participates in multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes.
9. Tracks quality assurance data and monitors for acute and chronic care management.
10. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Minimum one year of professional nursing experience. Clinical experience preferred. 3. Knowledge of nursing processes; health care systems, structure and functions; and community resources. 4. Understanding of health care technology, equipment and supplies. Familiarity with state law on nursing care, nurse practice guidelines and clinical policies and procedures. 5. Knowledge of wellness/illness, growth and development, human behavior psychosocial factors and alternative health care treatments. 6. Knowledge of chart/medical record documentation requirements and federal/state laws related to release of health care information. 7. Skill in patient triage in person and on the phone. 8. Ability to engage clients and families in the development and implementation of a care plan. 9. Ability to read and interpret physicians’ orders and notes from other providers. 10. Ability to calculate and administer drug dosage and injections and measure results.
1. Registered Nurse license in the state of NJ.
2. Current CPR /BLS 3. Completion of nursing training from an accredited school of nursing. 4. BSN preferred.
$40/hr - $50/hr
The above reflects the anticipated pay range for this position. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
