Job Description

The Radiology Coordinator is responsible for performing all duties related to pre-certification, submitting all radiology testing and admissions and ensure patients are properly scheduled for all testing. Must possess strong organization, communication and computer skills. Radiology prior authorization experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Submit radiology orders with required documents.
  • Generate reports to ensure all orders have been submitted appropriately and updated in EMR system.
  • Perform and coordinate all activities related to pre-certifications.
  • Ensure that all activities related to the pre-certification process are within established procedures and of acceptable quality.
  • Responsible for establishing all standard operating procedures related to the pre-certification process.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of insurance protocols to ensure prompt, accurate information to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Verify insurance benefits.
  • Perform all assignments with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong working knowledge of medical terminology
  • 1+ years’ experience in a healthcare setting
  • 1+ years of radiology scheduling experience (physician’s office, clinic or hospital)
  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Radiology prior authorization experience is preferred.

Pay Range

$ 22/hr - $26/hr

Pay Transparency

The above reflects the anticipated pay range for this position. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Requirements
