The Surgical Associate is responsible for routine stocking, cleaning operating rooms, and transporting patients. They also support circulating nurses by obtaining necessary equipment and instruments.
Here’s What You Need
High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Previous patient care or environmental services experience preferred
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly What You Will Do
Completes routine stocking chores.
Assists in moving patients to and from the operating room suites.
Assists in room cleanup before and/or after surgery.
Follows directions of circulating nurse in obtaining equipment, instruments, and supplies as requested.
Answers call from Surgery Control Desk without delay.
