Green Hills is actively looking for a hospitality-minded Certified Medication Aide (CMA), to join our growing team! CMA's assist with the administration of medications and provide care to our residents under the direction of the RN or LPN on duty. CMA's perform appropriate charting on each resident to maintain a continuum of care as well as follow safety procedures and inform the charge nurse of all relevant resident information.

Safely prepare, administer, and chart medications. The medication aide who prepares the medicine, administers same.
Check and prepare each dose immediately preceding administration.
Record administration of the medication on resident’s medication administration record. Discard medication refused or otherwise not given and record on medication administration record. Verify policy and procedure for refusals.
Perform accurate pulse and blood pressure and recognize their significance in drug therapy.
Accurately document nursing care after assisting a resident, in accordance with community and regulatory standards.
Timely report any changes in resident condition or reactions to medications to the RN/LPN on duty.
Treat each resident as an individual and address them respectfully.
Ensure resident rooms are kept clean and organized.

Have obtained or will obtain your Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) licensure.
Successful completion of State approved Medication Aide course.
Maintain a valid registration with the Direct Care Worker Registry.
Possess a valid driver’s license.
Have the ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
Can assist residents in case of an emergency, including during evacuation procedures.
Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
Can pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
