Veterinary technician, emergency

RVT Preferred, but not required

$22–28/hour Full-time opportunity in Hunt Valley, Maryland Schedule

Four 10-hour shifts (Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday), with day and overnight opportunities available. Weekend and holiday rotation as needed.

In your day-To-Day, you will

Deliver exceptional nursing care for emergency and critically ill patients.

Collaborate with Emergency Veterinarians to provide outstanding patient and client care.

Perform safe, low-stress patient handling techniques.

Obtain blood samples and perform in-house laboratory testing.

Assist with diagnostic imaging, including radiographs.

Administer medications and treatments accurately and efficiently.

Support patient appointments and provide compassionate client education.

Assist with anesthesia and endoscopy procedures.

Monitor hospitalized, ICU, outpatient, and overnight specialty patients.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients, clients, and team members.

Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, and strong communication while working in a fast-paced emergency environment.

Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams.

Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture.

What you bring

Certified, Registered, or Licensed Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred, but not required.

Emergency or critical care experience preferred.

Strong technical skills including phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, radiography, anesthesia monitoring, laboratory procedures, and patient care.

Excellent communication and client service skills.

Ability to think critically and thrive in a fast-paced emergency environment.

A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
