  • Counselor who excels in this role: Provides direct assessment and counseling services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric clients. Provides individual, marital, family and group psychotherapy as assigned. Maintains accurate and complete records, including adequate paperwork to facilitate proper billing. Knowledgeable of CPT Codes and their appropriate and effective application. Maintains confidentiality of all patient, hospital, and employee related information. Delivers personalized, efficient care with respect for the individual’s spiritual and cultural differences. Participates in community consultation and education as requested. Participates in facility treatment team meetings communicating clinical impressions. Compiles comprehensive patient/family history and records the data. Works to ensure effective performance and productivity maintaining a flexible schedule to accommodate patients.

The requirements listed below are below representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required: Bilingual and/or English Spanish speaking preferred and ability to work with culturally diverse population. High School Diploma or equivalent – required AA in Social Services or equivalent (90 quarter/60 semester college credits) or bachelor’s degree in behavioral health sciences. Requirements

Requires a high school diploma and either an associate degree in Social Services or a bachelor's degree in behavioral health sciences. Candidates must be enrolled in an approved program to obtain a Substance Use Disorder Professional credential.
