Responsibilities

  • Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
  • Monitor patient status, assess changes, administer meds and therapies as prescribed, and document findings accurately.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, reassessing and updating as needed.
  • Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; delegate tasks per scope of practice.
  • Coordinate care with physicians and other disciplines to ensure safe, timely, and holistic patient management.
  • Apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making in fast-paced, critical care scenarios.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse license in California (CA)
  • ICU or critical care nursing experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required or as dictated by assignment
  • ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program
  • Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts in an inpatient acute care environment
