The Sr Psychiatric Technician assists in the nursing care of mentally ill patients by implementing psychiatric treatment plans and coordinating health care services. They participate in therapeutic activities and collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team to deliver quality services.

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
In accordance with department policy and objectives, assists in the nursing care of the mentally ill by implementing various types of psychiatric treatment plans for groups of patients, including group interventions.
May coordinate the work of a Nursing Assistant or equivalent position as required.
Scale, thermometer, sphygmomanometer, common hospital equipment such as portable beds and wheel chairs, patient activity equipment for therapy and recreation, and other equipment of similar complexity.
• High School diploma with 2-3 years of experience in human services.

Candidates should have an AAS degree in Psychology or Sociology with 2-3 years of recent experience, or a Bachelor's degree in a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable, with a preference for a Bachelor's in Human Services.
