Description Precision Healthcare Specialists is seeking a skilled and compassionate PRN X-Ray Technician to join our growing healthcare team on an as-needed basis. The PRN X-Ray Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and quality care. This position works closely with physicians, clinical staff, and patients to support accurate diagnoses and efficient clinical operations while providing flexible coverage for staffing needs.
Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures as ordered by physicians and providers Prepare patients for radiologic procedures by explaining the process and positioning patients correctly Operate radiographic equipment safely and effectively to obtain high-quality diagnostic images Ensure patient safety by following radiation protection standards and safety protocols Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the electronic medical record system Verify physician orders and patient information prior to imaging procedures Assist providers with procedures and examinations as needed Monitor and maintain imaging equipment and report any malfunctions promptly Follow infection control, HIPAA, OSHA, and company policies and procedures Maintain cleanliness and organization of imaging rooms and equipment Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and team members Provide coverage as needed for vacations, call-outs, and staffing support
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program Current ARRT certification required Current Florida State Radiologic Technologist license required Current BLS/CPR certification required Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred, but new graduates may be considered Strong knowledge of radiology procedures, safety standards, and imaging equipment Excellent communication and patient care skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
