About the role

Perform radiographic imaging and assist during interventional radiology procedures while maintaining sterile techniques. Operate Siemens imaging systems and collaborate with the IR team to coordinate patient care across multiple rooms.

Overview Interventional Radiology Tech. Travel assignment in Kansas City, KS, starting 08/09/2026 for 13 weeks. Earn between $2,931 and $3,005 per week. Shift is 4×10-hour days. No guaranteed hours. Hospital IR lab setting with a fast-paced environment and high case volume.

Responsibilities

  • Assist radiologists during interventional radiology procedures; scrub, prep equipment, maintain sterile fields
  • Operate imaging equipment and monitor patient status during IR cases; ensure patient safety and comfort
  • Set up and manage supplies, maintain accuracy of procedure documentation, and assist with patient transport and positioning
  • Support a fast-paced, multi-room IR unit; coordinate with team to manage workflow and case load
  • Follow sterile technique, infection control protocols, and clinical guidelines; adhere to unit policies
  • May float to additional IR sites as needed; participate in on-call as required

Requirements

  • ARRT Radiography certification; active Kansas State Board of Healing Arts license (or eligible/ KS lic pending after offer)
  • AHA BLS required - 2 years IR experience; scrub experience required; 3 years IR experience preferred
  • Radiography education (e.g., Radiologic Technology degree or equivalent)
  • Ability to work in a high-volume IR lab; comfortable with 4×10-hour day shifts and rotating duties
  • Credentialing: Licensure/credentials due about 1 week prior to start; may begin with KS lic pending
